How the platform works
All Iron Thread courses live on one learning platform. There’s no scheduling and no travel. You work through the material when you have time.
Each lesson runs 8 to 12 minutes. That’s a coffee break, not a training day. Go at your pace, and replay the lesson you need.
The courses stay current as AI tools change. Tools move fast. A course that never updates is out of date by the time you finish it.
What Prompt Like a Boss teaches
Most people use AI like a search engine. They type a question, get something generic, and decide it doesn’t work. The tool is fine. The instructions are the problem.
This online AI course for contractors teaches you to get usable output on the first try, not the fourth. It’s built around real construction documents, not generic examples.
The course covers five areas:
- The C.L.E.A.R. framework. My prompting framework for better input: Context, Limitations and length, Examples, Audience, and Role.
- Power adders. Small additions that make a good prompt better.
- Verification systems. How to check the answer before you trust it.
- Hallucinations. How to spot and reduce them.
- Prompt libraries. Build reusable prompts for the work you repeat every week.
What’s a hallucination, and why should you care?
A hallucination is when AI states something false with full confidence. Picture it citing a spec section that doesn’t exist. It reads like a real citation, and it isn’t one.
That’s the risk with contracts, submittals, and safety documents. A wrong answer that sounds right is worse than no answer. The course shows you how to cut down on hallucinations and how to catch the ones that get through.
Who it’s for
It’s built for everybody who works with documents. It’s especially useful for project managers, project engineers, estimators, and office staff. Nobody needs the same job title to get value from it.

Both have a place, and the online AI course for contractors fits the person who can’t leave the jobsite for a day. Live workshops and webinars are for a room of people working together, with real-time questions. The online course is for one person who wants to learn at their own pace.
Associations can do both. A live session gets the room started. The online course gives each member a way to keep going.
